My love for working with people started at a young age, so deciding to go to Assiniboine Community College to pursue a diploma in Hospitality Administration was an easy decision. After graduation from ACC in 2005 I started working local in the hotel industry. My career began when I was employed at the Royal Oak Inn & Suites (now Clarion Hotel and Suites) in June of 2007 as the Sales Manager. I worked there for 8 years and during that time I became a Certified Wedding Consultant and Coordinator.
I loved planning and organizing all the events, weddings, grad’s and parties that were hosted at the hotel. I always found myself in with the banquet team helping set up events, I just love to see the room come together. I fell in love.
In 2015 I moved on from the hotel for a year and a half in the financial planning world but found myself missing the wedding and event planning scene, so I set a goal for myself that in 2017 I would make my dream of owning my own business in event planning come true. I believe everything happens for a reason and I am so glad that my journey has taken me here as the new owner of Black Tie Event! I look forward to working with all of our clients this year and for many years to come!
